Unitil has agreed to acquire the Massachusetts and New Hampshire operations of Aquarion, a water utility in New England.  Like electricity and natural gas services, water is an essential product and must be delivered safely, reliably, and affordably.  We are excited to bring Unitil’s local management, commitment to safety, and top-tier customer service to the five Massachusetts towns and eight New Hampshire communities served by Aquarion. As part of this acquisition, Unitil and Aquarion Water Authority have agreed to a five-year transition period for operations to ensure a collaborative, seamless transition for customers.
