Tobey & Merrill Insurance, Inc. of Hampton, New Hampshire might be known as the “little business that could.” The company has survived two world wars, tremendous social change, and economic ups and downs, to find themselves 99 years later, still going strong in the same community where they began.

We are 4 generations strong- Dean Merrill joined the agency with Herbert Tobey in 1920 to become Tobey & Merrill Insurance. Russ Merrill, Dean's son, joined in 1948. Dean Merrill II, Russ' son, joined in 1975. Geoffrey Merrill, Russ' son, joined in 1988 and Kim Merrill Wood, Dean's daughter, joined in 2017. We offer Personal, Business, Life & Health Insurance in NH, ME and MA.

Today, Tobey & Merrill Insurance, Inc. has 11 employees, representing more than 200 years of experience, with nine staff members having their agent’s licenses. Seacoast residents, and their families, are comfortable dealing with a firm that served not only their parents, but their grandparents as well. And because Tobey & Merrill is a family-run firm, clients know that the agents they talk to truly understand the insurance needs of families today.
