Ask questions, get new ideas and stay connected with your peers.
On April 22nd, we will have Rebecca Blichmann from Comcast Business talking about Cybersecurity. There are multiple cyberthreats targeting small businesses such as malware, phishing, ransomware and botnets that can hijack devices. There is a significant increase in phishing attacks coinciding with the plethora of information being disseminated on SBA loans, PPP, stimulus checks and unemployment benefits.
As a result, seemingly professional and innocent looking emails, cloned internet websites and credentials are directing internet traffic to malicious sites. Implementing policies and tools can help minimize the effects an attack can have on business, especially in protecting against ransomware which has bankrupted many businesses account the country, especially the healthcare industry. 83% SMB businesses lack the funds to deal with a cyberattack. Prevention measure at the network level in addition to the physical devices helps ensure threats are minimized and proper procedures are in place to mitigate them
