Oktoberfest - 3rd Annual 401 Beachtown Tavern End of Summer Party
OKTOBERFEST AT THE 401 TAVERN
Celebration of Oktoberfest raises money for the American Legion Post #35
The 401 Tavern in Hampton is hosting an Oktoberfest fundraiser in partnership with the Neighborhood Beer Co. to benefit the American Legion Post #35. Patrons are invited to bring their families and enjoy a Sunday afternoon with German style dishes, great beers and live music.
The cookout will take place on Sunday September 11th in the 401 Tavern parking lot from 1pm till 6pm. Tickets are $15 per person and include one German beer and access to see the Old Bastards Band. When purchasing your tickets The 401 Tavern encourages a $2 donation on top of the ticket price. Tickets are available for purchase online at https://401tavernoktoberfest.eventbrite.com or patrons could buy them at The 401 Tavern in Hampton and The Neighborhood Beer Co. Brewery in Exeter. Tickets are non-refundable. Hampton municipal parking lot may be used for Oktoberfest event parking.
The beer lineup for the 401 Tavern Oktoberfest is going to be exclusively provided by the Neighborhood Beer Co. Your thirst will be quenched by delicious German beers such as the Nodding Apparition, a Helles style lager brewed exclusively for The 401 Tavern, a Granite Acorn oktoberfest, Boss Flamingo bronze ale, Junkyard Pedigree copper ale and Hallowed Hammock blonde ale. Traditional German fare will be available for purchase at our two 401 food stands in the parking lot. Our menu features soft pretzels, Midwestern style beer brats, vegan brats, potato and beer soup, chicken schnitzel sandwiches, German potato salad, spatzle, red cabbage slaw, sauerkraut, apple strudel and black forest chocolate cake. If German food is not to your taste, the 401 will also be featuring all-American cheeseburgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls and seafood chowder. For full menu and pricing stop by The 401 Tavern and take an Oktoberfest flyer.
Entertainment during the festivities will be provided by The Old Bastards Band who will kick off the party with old time favorites at 1pm. The Old Bastards is a classic rock and roll Seacoast band who came into life in 2007 drawing from the members shared love of music and fun times.
Patrons can bring their children to the 401 Oktoberfest. Although Oktoberfest is mainly a beer festival, parents can make an Oktoberfest Family Day out of it. While parents enjoy themselves with music, German beer and Bavarian dishes, children can participate in different activities such as face paint, stein/mug painting, bobbing for apples, use the basketball hoop or play the bean bag in the Kids Zone designated area. Cotton candy and popcorn will keep your kids busy for a while. Kids under 21 enter for free.
The 401 Tavern encourages patrons to dress up in German attire. An Oktoberfest-themed photo booth is going to be set up for family and friends to take pictures. Tag your pictures on facebook with #401tavernoktoberfest for a chance to win prizes.
Raffle tickets will be sold during the event with all benefits going to the American Legion Post #35, supporting the Wounded Warrior Project, scholarships for the Winnacunnet High School Seniors, Run for the Fallen NH, donations to Boy Scout Troop 177 and Healy’s Heroes. Among the grand prizes there is going to be one foursome at the Breakfast Hill Golf Course, tickets to a Hampton Beach concert, two trek bikes and a Grand Marnier outside grill. Lots of other prizes will be raffled throughout the day.
