Just a reminder that this year's National Night Out will be held next Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Town House Common, which is located at the corner of Front and Court streets. This community-building event aimed at promoting police-community partnerships is an opportunity for law enforcement and other agencies to join together with local residents to ensure that Exeter remains a truly special place to live and work. This year’s activities will include live music from the Two of Us, a Beatles tribute band, police cruisers and other vehicles, including from the Exeter Fire Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game equipment, a dunk tank, face painting, games, food trucks, balloon animals, police comfort dog, Maple, booths from community organizations, and much more. Members from other local police departments will be on hand as well. National Night Out is a free public event with the exception of the food trucks. Complimentary snow cones, bottled water and popcorn will be provided. This event is possible thanks to the main sponsor of this Exeter event, Pairpoint Group of Exeter, along with Exeter Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus, who are also sponsors with additional support provided by Staples.
