Changemakers Speaker Series: Sam Evans-Brown
Thursday June 30th from 4PM to 7PM. Includes time to enjoy a glass of wine from the cash bar and explore Alnoba's ground and art.
Sam Evans-Brown is a hopeful guy. While he feels the threats posed by climate change are very real, he's optimistic about our potential to make the necessary changes to bring global warming into line and protect our future.
That's why he stepped away from his microphone at NHPR, where for years he produced the station's award-winning Outside/In podcast about how we humans interact with our natural world. Sam now leads Clean Energy New Hampshire, a plucky advocacy group dedicated to pushing for the state-level policy changes that can help bring New Hampshire into a cleaner, greener energy future.
In this special evening at Alnoba, Sam will reveal how the costs of renewable energy are plummeting, changing our energy systems in dramatic - and exciting - new ways. So why is New Hampshire still operating with last century's energy policies when it's past time to reimagine our institutions for a clean energy future?
