Artist Talk with Jeffrey Augustine Songco Thursday, February 6, 6-7pm Mayer Auditorium *Optional pre-talk tour of the exhibition led by the artist from 5:30-5:45pm in Lamont Gallery Join us for an evening of art and conversation with visiting artist Jeffrey Augustine Songco. Songco will give a slideshow presentation, guiding attendees through his artistic practice and past projects. Society of 23’s Conservatory captures the look and feel of a conservatory meets greenhouse during the sun-drenched days of summer. Through the scope of florals and bouquet arrangements, Songco "plants" visual clues and non-verbal messages throughout the space, inviting viewers to reflect on their own personal and cultural origin stories and consider the constructs we create and dismantle for ourselves.
