19th Annual Jewish Food Festival
The 19th Annual Jewish Food Festival under the tent at Temple B’nai Israel, 210 Court St. Laconia on Sunday, July 10 from 11am to 2pm. There will be a huge array of authentic textures and tastes including cheese blintzes, sandwiches filled superior meats from Evan’s Deli with your choice of: pastrami, brisket, corned beef or tongue (with pickle, and coleslaw on Zingerman’s rye bread, or roll); meat knishes & potato knishes; chopped herring; chopped chicken liver and assorted baked goods including strudel, and rugelach. Blintzes, Meat knishes, potato knishes, latkes (potato pancakes), matzo ball soup, noodle kugel, and stuffed cabbage – will also be available, all frozen and ready to heat at home - while supplies last. NEW this year, TBI, which prepares dozens of homemade foods made by temple members from tried and true family recipes, has upgraded to hand cooked deli meats from Evan’s New York Deli, and will even fly in fresh baked Jewish rye bread from Zingerman’s bakery in Ann Arbor Michigan, reputed to be the best Jewish rye in the entire country, so to have the very best Jewish food. This Festival is about more than food. Starting at 9:00AM, you will find hundreds of assorted treasures at the Nearly New Boutique including furniture items, linens, children's games and toys, puzzles, strollers, port-a-cribs, kitchen items, books, jewelry, picture frames and so much more on the front lawn. All are welcome! Come to share the memories and family stories that the food of this rich Jewish tradition evokes and eat ‘til you can’t eat any more! Check the Temple website www.tbinh.org for menus and details. Questions may be directed to foodfestival@tbinh.org.
