Nashua Inclusivity Celebration &
Networking Event

It was incredible to see so many small business owners, SBDC clients, community members, local leaders, and partners last Thursday to celebrate Nashua’s BIPOC business community.

We also know that this event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of so many partners and friends. A special thanks to the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce and Positive Street Art for hosting us in their beautiful space.

Thank you to Tropical Point RestaurantCaribbean Breeze Restaurant & Bar, La Mexicana Bakery, and Delicious Bites for supplying the amazing food and sweet treats. And thank you to Chris Boncoddo for taking great photos and videos at the event.

Thanks again for helping us celebrate. Our Team had so much fun and we’re ready to host more Inclusivity Commitment events around the state! Stay tuned for details!

In the few months since owning Fortin Gage, Amber Morgan notes the challenge in finding a way to maintain the legacy of the business while planning and building for the future, but is thankful to have SBDC there. Amber states, "the part that really excites us about working with the SBDC is knowing that no matter what the challenge is, I have an SBDC business advisor in my court that knows not just what my challenges are today, but what they're going to be, and very gently nudges me to look at those as we go along.”

USPTO First-Time Filer Expedited Examination Pilot Program
The USPTO and its Council for Inclusive Innovation (CI2) are proud to present the First-Time Filer Expedited Examination Pilot Program, which is designed to increase accessibility to the patent system for inventors who are new to the patent application process, including those in historically underserved geographic and economic areas. This program expedites the first Office action, which expands opportunity in innovation. By lowering time-based barriers for inventors who might otherwise be unable to participate in the patent system, this initiative will enable them to bring their innovations to impact more rapidly. For more information.
