HAVEN - Spring Into Awareness

APRIL IS SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time that is set aside to help raise awareness and draw attention to the prevalence of sexual violence in our state and across the nation.

In New Hampshire, sexual assault is a serious crime, where 1 in 4 women and 1 in 20 men have reported experiencing some form of sexual violence in their lifetimes. This spring, you can turn the tide by helping HAVEN raise awareness and expand prevention efforts throughout the month of April!

YOU'RE INVITED! This virtual event will showcase the importance and success of HAVEN's Safe Kids Strong Teens education program. In honor of our 10th Kids Are Our Business event, this year we are offering a $10 dollar registration fee!

This year’s event will feature a panel of experts who handle disclosures, violence prevention, child advocacy and post-trauma care. Attendees will learn how to respond to a disclosure and discover what we can do as a community to keep kids safe.

Meet HAVEN's newest staff member!
SCTHP Case Manager- Haley Ferland
Haley joins our client service team as our Strafford County Transitional Housing Program case manager. Her role is essential in helping survivors secure safe, permanent housing. From growing up locally, to attending college at Montana State University and spending more time out in the Pacific Northwest, Haley's passion for victim advocacy and helping others has pulled her back to her roots in Southeastern New Hampshire. When Haley is not connecting with landlords or delivering support services across Strafford County, she is playing frisbee with her dog or hiking in the White Mountains.
